It’s was an exciting start to the day, Crazy when you arrive with a monitor to run your prom presentation and realise you forgot your keyboard and mouse. But like all good accountants, we sorted it. Our branded water giveaway went down well right from the start and we got lots of interest in our making tax digital pitch.

The staff were brilliant in manning the stand and collecting lots of good enquires which we will be sure to try to convert into new clients.

There was a very good seminar – You’re hired. I wonder what inspired the title. Speakers sharing their experience in engaging the next generation of employees and more importantly keeping them.

The facilities at The Edge in the regenerated Wigan Pier area were superb.

Making Tax Digital Xero is here with McGinty Demack Accountants.

To celebrate our accreditation to Xero Bronze Status, we are offering free licences. Free for the first 12 months to the next five clients who sign up for making tax digital. This offer is a positive preparation for the introduction of Making tax Digital in April 2019.

As a result of its work on ‘Making Tax Digital’, McGinty Demack has already achieved Gold level accreditation from accounting software provider QuickBooks as well as being an accredited Sage user. Achieving Bronze level accreditation from Xero completes the Making tax digital offer.

Local businesswoman shortlisted in first of its kind awards

Managing Director of Standish based McGinty Demack, Karen Richardson, was  shortlisted for the inaugural English Women’s Awards 2018 – North.

Shortlisted in the category of Services to Accounting and Finance, Karen was nominated by people from around the North-West based on her forward-thinking approach.

Held on 19 March at the Mercure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel, the English Women’s Awards – North acknowledged and celebrated the achievements of women including female entrepreneurs, civil servants, charity founders amongst other professionals in the North of England, whose hard work, talent and commitment is often under-represented.

The awards also provided an opportunity and platform for women to inspire others, particularly younger women, as each nominee had their own story to tell and advice to give.
